Newark---Terrance L. Mattoon, 76, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

Private family services will be held.  

Terrance was born in Potsdam, New York, on October 25, 1949, the son of the late Everett and Onalee Miller Mattoon.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Over the years he worked as a machinist for various companies in the area.  He had been a member of the Newark American Legion August Mauer Post #286.  He enjoyed  cooking, baking, hunting and fishing.  He loved to occupy his time playing any one of his many guitars.  

Mr. Mattoon is survived by a daughter Caroline (Andrew) Cooper; two grandchildren E.J. and Ezra Entenberg.; a brother Barry (Tammy) Mattoon. He was predeceased by his wife Sharon Ann Maxwell Mattoon.
