Lyons—Michael J. Sontheim, 67, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024. 

Friends may call on Saturday, October 5th from 2pm to 4pm at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, New York 14489. A funeral service for his immediate family will be held privately.

Mr. Sontheim was born in Lyons, on March 25, 1957, the son of Max and Edna (Goosen) Sontheim. He was a graduate of Clyde-Savannah High School. He retired from the Wayne County Highway Department. He was a member of the Lyons Rod & Gun Club as well as the Lords Motorcycle Club.

Michael is survived by his daughter Michaela (Broxton) Prater; granddaughter Mariela Prater; mother Edna Sontheim; sister Bonnie Brazis; brother Kenneth (Brian) Sontheim; three nieces Sara, Stacy and Sandy Brazis; two great nephews Max and Finn; a great niece Ellie. He was predeceased by his father Max and brother-in-law Edward Brazis.
