John C. Cauvel
Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on June 13, 2024, after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, children Shawn (Christina), Thomas, Peter (Emilee), and Michael (Nicole) Cauvel; grandchildren, Quin, Bryan, Lilly, Temperance, Hudson, Eleanor and Ivy Cauvel; one brother David Cauvel, three sisters Barbara (Gregory) Crispell, Dorothy Cauvel and Donna (Steven) Teuscher, many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and beloved canine companion Daisy. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Alice Cauvel and brother Daniel.
John was born on March 15, 1956, in Coudersport, PA. He was a graduate of Palmyra -Macedon High School, Alfred State College and Roberts Wesleyan University. He was a 30-year employee of Lifetime Care who loved his job and helping others.
John was an avid photographer and craftsman. In his free time, he enjoyed hiking, camping and canoeing in the Adirondacks, and spending time with family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the RRH Community Hospice team, especially Maureen, Joy, Heather, and Laura for the exceptional care and support they provided to John and his family.
Much gratitude to Bill & Margie Santelli, Peter & Marcia Santelli, Donna & Steve Teuscher, Frank & MaryLou Gokey, Tianna & Collin Zundel, and Liz & Dean Powley, whose care and support throughout this journey were unwavering.
