Gary Edwards

Lyons – Gary M. Edwards passed away on October 13th at the age of 71. Born in Newark, NY Gary attended Newark high school and afterwards enlisted in the Army where he was stationed in Wildflecken Germany. Gary was employed at Spinco in Newark prior to his employment with Parker Hannifan in Lyons for 29 years.

Gary was a “dialysis warrior” having received 13+ years of treatment for Kdiney disease. He always maintained a positive attitude and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed attending Parker Hannifan retiree breakfasts, and was a huge Buffalo Bills fan.

Predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Iona Edwards, brother Brian Edwards, sister Barbara Withy and his wife of 39 years Chris Edwards. He is survived by his daughter Shannon Edwards, grandchildren Kamal and Damara Nelson, brother Gil Edwards, sisters in law Lori Hance and Jan Edwards, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW of Lyons (202 Geneva Street) from 1:00 – 4:00 on October 25th.
