Lyons--Dorothy M. Lauster, 99, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at DeMay Living Center.

Funeral services will be at First Presbyterian Church, 11 Queen St., Lyons, NY 14489 at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Lyons.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy’s name to the First Presbyterian Church, 11 Queens St., Lyons, NY 14489.

Dorothy was born on May 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Allison and Hazel Vanderhoof Coon. She was a graduate of Lyons High School School. She then earned her Associates Degree in Boston. Dorothy held many secretarial positions and ended her career as a Case Investigator for Wayne County Social Services. Dorothy was an avid golfer and a member of Wayne Hills for over 50 years. She was also a member of Lyons First Presbyterian Church.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Lauster and Allison Lauster; two daughters, Tracy (Bob) Rankert and Nancy (John) Young; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; a sister, Eleanor Atkinson; a brother-in-law, David Lauster. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; and her daughter-in-law, Leona Lauster.
