Doris A. Briggs Lyons---Doris A. Briggs, 94, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Clifton Springs Hospital. A graveside service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Elmwood Cemetery in Lyons Doris was born in Lyons, NY, on August 28, 1928, the daughter of the late Anna Castilucci. She retired from the Newark Developmental Center where she worked as an attendant. She loved Bowling, Bunco, and Knitting She is survived by her husband of 61 yrs Melvin; six children Deanne (Ken) Giljam, James Bannatyne, Dorothy (Richard) Baker, Deborah (Karl) George, Denise (Gary) LeClair, Dennis (Terri) Briggs; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
