John V. Wiseman

Fair Haven John V. Wiseman, 82, passed away on May 14, 2013 at home in Fair Haven. A memorial service will e held on Saturday (June 1) at 11 a.m. at the Fair Haven Community Church. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, Fair Haven. John was born on Staten Island, NY and grew up in the Boston, MA suburbs. He married Carolyn Timerson, formerly of Red Creek, in 1952. A graduate of Cornell University, he was an engineer working in the paper industry in Massachusetts, Indiana and Wisconsin. John was also a retired Air Force Reserve Officer. He was a private pilot, avid traveler, and wood worker. In 1989 John and Carolyn retired to their mountain home in Breckenridge, CO. During recent years they resided at their cottage on Fancher Avenue in Fair Haven. In addition to his wife, John is survived by a son, Brian (Susan) of CO; granddaughters, Ashley and Courtney Wiseman of CO; sister, Margaret Kurmas of FL; nephew, Paul Kurmas; niece, Elizabeth Kurmas, and many friends across the United States.
