Geraldine Jay

North Rose Geraldine Jay, 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Family and friends may call Friday, (Nov. 8) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a funeral service will be held Saturday (Nov. 9) at 2 pm. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rose Free Methodist Church. Gerry was born December 16, 1933 in Lyons, a daughter to Abram and Mabel VanHall DeVay. She was known as the "card lady" at church and played a major role in the family business , Jay's Water Service. She is survived by 4 children, Linda (Phil) Rasbeck, Carol (Franz) Bascomb, Kelly Savage and Jeffery Jay (Ginny); 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
