Byron C. Kennard

North Rose Byron C. Kennard, Jr., 78, passed away on Saturday, November, 23, 2013 at home surrounded by his family and friends. Services will be held privately. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Rose United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 369 North Rose, NY 14516 or the Rose Fire Company, P.O. Box 63 Rose, NY 14542. Byron was born on July 29, 1935, in Springfield, MA, a son to the late Byron and Helena Ramey Kennard, Sr. He served in the Army National Guard from 1957-1963. Byron worked for General Electric Company for over 39 years and retired in 1991. He was a life member of the National Model Railroad Association, past assistant scoutmaster-troop 109, former grange member and a volunteer for meals-on-wheels. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lorraine; daughter, Denise Kline of Rose; son, Evan Kennard of Rose; granddaughter, Elaina Kline of Rose and many close friends. Arrangements were entrusted to Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, North Rose.
