Cato Mildred M. Pierce, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, 90, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call on Tuesday (Dec. 17) from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (Dec. 18) 11 am at St. Patrick's Church, Mechanic St., Cato. Burial will be in Cato Union Hill Cemetery. For those wishing memorials may be made to Hospice of CNY or St. Patrick's Church, Cato, in her memory. Mille was born on March, 4 1923, in Red Creek, a daughter to the late Patrick and Mary Josephine Wright Tighe. She worked at the very first Wegman's Market in Rochester and at Kodak prior to her marriage. Millie enjoyed gardening, baking, spending time with her family and traveling, especially her trip to Ireland with her sister and brother-in-law. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Cato for over 40 years. She is survived by her 3 children, William (Susan) of Lysander, Julie (James) Dillon of Cato and Dennis (Susan) of Cato; 11 grandchildren, Amy, Jim, Ben, Dan, Katie, Carrie, Amanda, Emily, Karen, Jackie and Tim; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Carolyn Welch, Barbara Schmidt and Katherine (John) Scott and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Elmer Pierce in 1957 and sister, Eileen Pardington in 2013.
