Red Creek Calbert "Manny" DuVall, 91, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital. Predeceased by daughter Jeanette Cooper, granddaughter, Tammy Garrad, sister, Ethel Valley, 2 brothers, William and Cranson. Survived by his wife Norma of 71 years; 4 children, Claudette Bishop of Red Creek, Calbert (Mary Lee) DuVall, Jr. of Red Creek, Jacqueline (Phil) Perkins of PA and Daryl (Mary) DuVall of Red Creek; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mildred Merrill of Macedon and Connie Mack of Palmyra; 2 brothers, Douglas of Palmyra and Bert of Rochester; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Manny's and Jeanette's life will be held Saturday (Feb. 22) from 1 till 5 pm at Faith United Methodist Church, 12223 Oswego St., Wolcott. Manny was born May 17, 1922 in Ellenburg, NY, a son to Bert J. and Mildred Ormsby DuVall. He was a veteran of the Army during WWII. He worked general construction and in the late 1970's he entered the auto sales business, where he retired from the former Donald Chevrolet/Olds in Williamson. After retirement, he became a Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Victory and the Villages of Fair Haven and Red Creek.
