Elizabeth S. (Crowell, VanDeusen) Soules

Red Creek Elizabeth S. "Betty" (Crowell, Van Deusen) Soules, age 87, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014. Betty was born to William "Herbert" and Minnie (Watson) Crowell in the Town of Butler. Betty was married to Earl Benjamin Van Deusen in 1946 and then to Henry Soules in 1966. Family and friends may call Wednesday (July 23) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, 6816 Church St., Red Creek. A funeral service will be held Thursday (July 24) 2 pm at the Red Creek Westbury United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the Red Creek Westbury United Methodist Church, POB 186, Red Creek, NY 13143 or to a charity of choice. She was predeceased by her second husband Henry Soules, her brothers, Charles Crowell and Richard Crowell, and granddaughter, Sarah Beth Van Deusen. Betty is survived by her daughters, Barbara Hill of Farmington, Pamela (Donald) Taylor of Wolcott; sons, Eugene (Laura) Van Deusen of Red Creek, Greg (Linda) Van Deusen of Wolcott, Garth Van Deusen of Georgia, Ronald Van Deusen of Red Creek, Ricky Soules of Sterling and Robbie (Carol) Soules of Georgia; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ruth (Richard) Dallas of Red Creek and Mary Walker of Avon; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Crowell of Florida and Beverly Crowell of Alabama; many nieces and nephews.
