Erma Agnes Hayes

North Rose Erma A. Hayes, 93, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Family and friends may call on Friday (Aug. 1) from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday (Aug. 2) 11 am. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery. For those wishing memorials may be made to the American Lung Association in her name. Erma was born on August 25, 1920, in Huron, a daughter to the late Herbert W. and Ethel A. Spencer Finch. She married her husband, Barton P. Hayes, Sr. on February 28, 1941. Erma retired from Durkee Foods in Wolcott. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, collecting her recipes, reading and sewing. She is survived by her 8 children, Bonnie Lapp, Betsy Meade, Barton P. (Linda) Hayes, Jr., Sueanne (John) Buzzelli, Joanne Pierce (David Becker), Bret (Penny) Hayes, Matthew (Corrine) Hayes and Shannon Hayes; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Doris Norris and Thersa Bond and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Barton in 1979, 2 sons, Michael Hayes in 1947 and Herbert Hayes in 2007, 5 sisters and 2 brothers. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
