Cato Minnie Anita Kent, 92, a resident of St. Camillus Health & Rehab, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014. Family and friends may call TODAY, Sunday (Dec. 7) from 2 to 5 pm at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato, where a funeral service will be held Monday (Dec. 8) at 11 am. Burial will be in Monumental Grove Cemetery, Meridian. Anita was born August 8, 1922 in Jamestown, a daughter to the late Claire and Evelyn Johnson Phillips. She and her husband Elwyn came to the Cato area in 1962 and was a member of Meridian Baptist Church. Anita retired in 1988 from the US Postal Service in Cato. She was an Order of the Eastern Star member, Cato Senior Citizens and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband Elwyn in 1995, granddaughter, Debbie Hodge and sisters, Betty Phillips, Clara Baldwin and Donna Meder, 2 sons-in-law, Dennis Wickstrom and Cal Bohon. She is survived by 7 daughters, Bonnie Wickstrom of Falconer, NY, Peggy (Tom) Bellen of CA, Yvonne Kent of Baldwinsville, Kristine Bohon of NC, Denise (Scott) Myers of Cato, Pamela (Doug) Babcock of Carthage, and Diane (Robert) Eastman of Baldwinsville; 2 sons, Scott (Becky) Kent of NC and Gary (Terry) Kent of WV; brothers, Joseph Phillips of CA and Donald (Sandy) Phillips of MD; 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
