Robert W. Smith, 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 21, 2015 after a brief illness.
Family and friends may call Wednesday (Nov. 25) from 6 to 8 pm at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday (Nov. 27) 10:30 am at St. Michael’s Church, Phelps St., in Lyons. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in your local area in Bob’s memory.
Bob was born October 30, 1932 in Lyons, a son to the late Harry B. and Cornelia Vandermuellen Smith. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from Mobil Chemical in Macedon. Bob loved to be outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening and wintering in Florida.
He was predeceased by his wife Donna in 2008, 3 brothers, Harold, Irving and George, and sister, Eloise Crego.
Survived by 3 sons, Thomas (Susan), Michael (Adria) and Jeffrey (Brenda), all of Lyons; daughter, Catherine (Forrest) Hobbs of CO; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Putnam of Lyons; nieces and nephews.
