Richard L. Morey, 74, of Layton St., passed away at home on Thursday, February 25, 2016 surrounded by family.
Family and friends may call Saturday (Feb. 27) from 10 to 11 a.m. at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
Richard was born April 23, 1941 in Fayette, NY, a son to the late Russell and Doris Avery Morey. He retired from Silgan Container in Lyons after 40 years of employment and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Richard was predeceased by his brother Lawrence Morey. Survived by his wife Judy of 53 years; son, Richard T. (Heather) Morey of Bradford, NY; daughter, Amy Morey of Lyons; 5 grandchildren, Adam Morey, Kenneth Simkin, Michael (Jennifer) Simkin, Ciarah Williams and Devyn Williams; siblings, Joyce (Ronald) Swarthout, Sharon (James) Bloom, Carol (William) Patrick, Wayne (Pat) Morey and Rita (Michael) Ragalski; several nieces and nephews; and close family member, Adrienne J. Morey Jones.
