Jean Bastian Eygnor passed away July 11, 2018, at age 87 following a brief illness.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Eygnor; sister-in-law, Janet Eygnor; sister, Eleanor Bastian Tellier; and brothers, Robert and David Bastian.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Linda Eygnor Quijano; son-in-law, Carlos; grandson, Nicolas Quijano and his wife Lindsey Davidge; grandson, Tomas Quijano; sister Virginia Bastian Thorn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Jean was born on May 16, 1931 to Clifford Bastian and Doris Matthews Bastian. She spent her career as a teacher and librarian at the North Rose School, which was also her Alma Mater. Jean lived a rich and full life, spending time traveling with Don to all of the US states, except Hawaii, as well as Europe and Israel. She enjoyed classical music, literature of all kinds and particularly poetry, auto racing, theater, and especially spending time with family and friends.

She was an active, lifelong member of the North Rose United Methodist Church, and it was a very important part of her life. Please join in a celebration of Jean’s life at the church at 5050 Main Street, North Rose, on Sunday, August 5, 2018. Calling hours will begin at 2 PM with a memorial service at 3 PM, and a reception to follow.
